I image with a full-frame DSLR and I am nowhere near 6kg of draw weight. It is rated for over 6kg and a stepper motor is available for it rated at and beyond this weight class. frankly I am at a loss to think who would truly need such a device.
#TS PHOTOLINE 130MM CRACK#
The scope arrived in a flight case which ParcelForce have managed to actually crack and damage, presumably by booting the package across a warehouse floor with code-compliant steel toecaps. No apparent provision for a finderscope except for two mysterious holes on the focuser, but they dont match any standard fitting I recognise. The scope is extremely sparse in terms of extras, only the essential elements of a telescope are there optics, tube, focuser and tube rings.

This scope is the middle-child of the Teleskop-Service 'Photo Line' range of refractors, generally ED glass instruments around f/7, designed with astrophotography in mind but also excellent visually by all accounts. Purchased second-hand on eBay for a mere £750 and in mint condition as far as I can see, I will try to review the general finish and mechanics of the scope ahead of first light, hopefully this evening if the forecast holds. ♦ Focal length is reduced to 719 mm, the photographic speed is raised to f/5.So as some of you may remember from my other thread, I am now the proud owner of a 115mm Triplet APO, from Teleskop-Service in Germany. TS 0.79x Photoline reducer/corrector TSRED379-130 From this thread, there are 55 mm to the optimal position of the camera sensor - ideal for DSLR cameras. ♦ Included is an adaptor to M48/2" filter thread. ♦ The recommended working distance is 103 mm. ♦ Corrector fits directly to the M92x1 thread of the focuser. TSFLAT3 - Large format corrector which does not affect the focal length. Recommended correctors for astro imaging: ♦ Threads for further adaptions: M100x1, M92x1, M68x1 ZEISS Level ♦ 2" and 1.25" self-centering accessory adapters ♦ Adjustment range of the inner tube: 98 mm ♦ No transmisstion by friction that may slip The largely dimensioned focuser allows using full-frame or even large format cameras without vignetting, of course with matching correctors. The quality is close to the well-known Feather Touch focusers from Starlight. One highlight of this telescope is the modern "Rack-And-Pinion" focuser. The multi coated lenses are mounted in a temperature compensated cell, the edges of the air spaced elements are blackened. We decided deliberately for the high-quality version with FPL-53 element to ensure the best possible optical quality. ♦ Stiff aluminium tube with internal baffles

♦ Direct M68 (ZEISS) thread for reducer/corrector ♦ 3,7" RPA Photoline rack & pinion focuser with 1:10 dual speed transmission - up to approx. ♦ Temperature compensated and fully adjustable cell ♦ Air spaced triplet lens with Ohara FPL53 element Main charcteristics of the PHOTOLINE 130 mm F7 Deluxe Apo: Now, CCD cameras with large sensors can be used and combined with all common correctors, like the Riccardi 0.75x reducer or the TS PHOTOLINE 3" flattener. The powerful lens is popular especially among astrophotographers, so we decided to offer this Apo with the big 3.7" RPA focuser.

The temperature compensated cell keeps the lenses free of stress even in temperatures below 0 ☌. The 130 mm f/7 triplet Apo refractor is equipped with one of the best lenses in its class, including a proven Ohara FPL53 element. With the Photoline APO series, Teleskop-Service stands for non-compromised optical and mechanical quality.
